Regarding Lightning network

Went through the official documentation of the lightning network. I really like the idea of hot wallets and cold wallets storage of coins. Hash Time-Locked Contracts (HTLCs) - do we have a value for the maximum hops that a trustless payment network to pay the funds requester. What if the previous state hash was compromised and was passed in the network to the requester . The money could just vanish away . Last question: Do you have java client api to talk to the Lightning network . Thanks.

Hi Krithivasan! A few questions here to unpack.

    * maximum hops: I've never seen this be a problem in practice, if this is specific to your project, I'd recommend experimenting by programatically spinning up an arbitrary number of regtest / simnet Lightning nodes and seeing what happens

    * previous state hash was compromised and was passed in the network to the requester. The money could just vanish away

Correct, if the HTLC's secret is compromised then there could be a loss of funds

    * Do you have java client api to talk to the Lightning network

Yes, here is a guide on getting set up with Java + LND: https://github.com/lightningnetwork/lnd/blob/master/docs/grpc/java.md
